Josie Taylor is excitedly awaiting news of her big Broadway break, bartending at a downtown Nashville karaoke joint as she waits. When her line partner bails on her the same night as her cute cowboy crush comes in for a drink, Josie decides that maybe spending a little more time with him while running lines might not be such a bad idea.

Cal Finch is in his final year of veterinary school and working with a local vet whenever he can. But when one of his friends graduates from college early, he agrees to go to the karaoke bar to celebrate her. He never expects to run into an adorable red-headed bartender who just might need his help. And steal his heart in the process.

Josie and Cal are spending a lot of time together, and it's getting harder to consider not being together when an email arrives that could change Josie's life. In the middle of a date, she's suddenly stuck between two different worlds: horses and Cal or the dazzle of a New York City stage. Will she choose to follow her heart, or will the bright lights of the stage prove to be too blinding?
