Do I dare to say I’m back again?

Hi, friends! It’s been a long time since I wrote on this blog—almost two years, in fact. In that time, a lot of things have changed. I’ve moved a few times, I’ve changed jobs, and I've been attacked by probably the biggest creative bug that I’ve ever been bitten by.

About three months ago, I decided I was going to write a book series. I had recently discovered cowboy romance books, and I was hooked completely. I wanted to write one, but of course, being me, I couldn’t do just one.

Instead, I invented a family of seven sisters in my brain, and so, as you would suppose, each sister needs to find her man. Hence, there will be seven books in this series, which I have decided will be called the Lavender Mist Ranch series. But was that good enough? Surely, you must be thinking, seven books would be enough to keep anyone happy for a while.

Alas. No. It was not. In the middle of writing the opening chapters of the first book, I decided I needed to add one more, a book that I could give away to my newsletter subscribers. So, I switched gears, moving to a whole new set of characters and storyline, and Say Your Line was born. This book will only be available to those who have signed up for my newsletter, so if you haven’t done that yet, you might want to!

Say Your Line follows Cal Finch, a good friend of the male MC in Lavender Mist Ranch Book 1, and Josie Taylor. This book will be a novella, not a full-length novel, but I hope it will give readers a taste of my writing style and the world I’m building, though Say Your Line doesn’t take place at the ranch.

Anyway… I don’t want to give too much away before I get the novella out. However, I wanted all of you to know what I’m up to, and if you’re not following along with me already, I hope you’ll consider joining me on this journey! I think it’s going to be a lot of fun! I’m working hard on getting this book out, and I hope to see it released sometime in early December.

Thanks for reading! Be sure to check back next week to keep tabs on my progress!
